Even though The Church of the Holy Trinity was founded in 1864 and was housed in two different church buildings near Madison Avenue and 42nd Street, its current incarnation began in the Yorkville neighborhood of Manhattan’s Upper East Side with the opening of St. Christopher’s Mission House in 1897 and the consecration of the church in 1899.
